Highly-rated St Kilda assistant coach Corey Enright met with Collingwood after missing out on the Carlton coaching job.

Enright is out of contract at the Saints, but is working closely under Ross Lyon and is deemed a senior coach in waiting.

The former Cat was one of the leading candidates for the Blues role, which was won by Josh Fraser.

According to a Channel Seven report, the Pies are looking to bolster their coaching department around premiership coach Craig McRae, with many figures departing the club in the past few years.

Collingwood is still without a development boss after Fraser left the Pies for Carlton ahead of 2026, while Brendon Bolton made the switch to the Moorabbin club, and Justin Leppitsch has been heading the list management since 2024.

After a stellar 16-year career with Geelong, culminating in 332 games, three premierships, six All-Australians and two best and fairests, Enright joined the coaching caper immediately, remaining with the Cats once he retired.

He began as a development coach before becoming an assistant, helping Geelong reach the finals in each year of his tenure.

Enright joined St Kilda ahead of the 2022 campaign, and has been at Moorabbin since.
