St Kilda have made two further delistings following the cessation of their busy trade and free agency period, with Zak Jones and Arie Schoenmaker not offered new deals for 2026.

Jones will leave the Saints after six years and 74 games in the red, white and black following his move from the Swans, where he played 90 games in six seasons.

The hard-nosed midfielder battled with injury woes during his time at Moorabbin to be kept to no more than 16 games in a single season, with that tally coming in his first year as a Saint in 2020.

Schoenmaker was drafted to St Kilda with Pick 62 in the 2023 AFL Draft out of Tasmania after a promising year with the Devils' Coates Talent League side.

The defender would make his AFL debut in 2024 against Brisbane and played three more games that season before adding three more appearances at the top level in 2025.

On Thursday afternoon, the club confirmed the departures of both Jones and Schoenmaker.

“This is never an easy part of the year,” St Kilda CEO Carl Dilena said.

“Following the trade period, we've had to make some difficult decisions as we continue to shape our list for long-term success.

“Both Zak and Arie have made valuable contributions to the club's growth over their time at Moorabbin, playing a vital role in helping position the team for its next phase.

“We thank both players for everything they've given to the club and wish them every success in the next chapters of their careers.”

The pair of delistings come after St Kilda acquired Tom De Koning, Jack Silvagni, Sam Flanders and Liam Ryan across the free agency and trade windows.

The Saints had already delisted Harry BoydZaine Cordy, and Angus McLennan since the end of their 2025 season, while Max Heath and Jack Steele were both traded to Melbourne in the past week. Jimmy Webster also departed the club via retirement.
