New faces: The Saints don’t have any new faces in their best 22 at this stage, with Logan Austin the only player gained in the trade period, a key position depth player.

On the fringe: The Saints’ depth is looking strong all of a sudden, with mature-agers Tom Hickey, Sam Gilbert and Logan Austin all missing the best 22. Top-10 draftees Nick Coffield and Hunter Clark should get the opportunity to debut at some point during the 2018 season, while Hugh Goddard and Ben Long could also force their way into the side.

First picked: Jack Billings

Last picked: Shane Savage
