North Melbourne coach Brad Scott says forward Ben Brown will return via the VFL next weekend, and is hopeful Brown will be available for selection in round one.
Brown underwent minor knee surgery in January which kept him out of training for around a fortnight, and is now pushing to be fit in time for the Roos' season opener against West Coast on March 26.
North will welcome back Lachie Hansen and Sam Wright for their JLT Community Series match with GWS on Friday, as the Roos edge ever closer to a full bill of health before the season begins.
During Scott's Thursday morning press conference, the North Melbourne coach said Werribee's VFL match next weekend will feature plenty of Roos players, as Scott still tries to finalise his best 22 ahead of round one.
