The Superbru community put in a strong performance once again in Round 7 as the average player managed just under seven correct outcomes out of nine.

As we did ahead of that round, here we’ll be looking at what the majority of players are predicting at Superbru as things stand for each of this week’s Round Eight fixtures. Once you’re up to date with the insights, head to Superbru and submit your own tips!

Hawthorn vs. Sydney Swans

Hawthorn have started the season relatively strongly by winning five of their opening seven games and the Superbru crowd expect them make it six from eight on Friday. 78% of players are tipping the home side to beat the Sydney Swans.

GWS Giants vs. West Coast Eagles

Tips show this one to be relatively tight with a fairly evenly balanced split thus far. It’s hard to go against the West Coast Eagles given that they’ve only lost once so far this season (vs. the Swans in the opening round) however only 62% are backing them to beat GWS with a fairly strong 38% backing the Giants to win and move within two points of their opposition on the ladder.

Carlton vs. Essendon

Carlton are one of just two teams still yet to win this season and it’s therefore no surprise to see 80% of players tipping Essendon to win at the MCG. The average margin tip suggests Essendon will win by 12.

Gold Coast Suns vs. Melbourne

Two teams that are yet to really put a winning run together this season, 78% expect Melbourne to defeat Gold Coast at the Gabba. The visitors have won their last two while Gold Coast have lost to Adelaide and the Bulldogs in the last couple of weeks.

Port Adelaide vs. Adelaide Crows

A big game at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday and there are currently 82% expecting the Crows to win it. The average overall tip suggests the winning margin will be 13.

Western Bulldogs vs. Brisbane Lions

Will this be the week that sees the Brisbane Lions bag their first win of the season? Only 7% of Superbru players believe so. A massive majority are understandably tipping the Bulldogs with the expected margin sitting at a healthy 18.

Fremantle vs. St. Kilda

An identical majority to the Bulldogs’ 93% expect Fremantle to beat St. Kilda in Perth on Saturday. Both teams have lost their last two meetings, neither has too much momentum, though St. Kilda are having the poorer season having only won once.

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs. Richmond

Richmond look untouchable right now and that is reflected in the tips made by Superbru players. 90% of them are backing the ladder leaders to continue their march against the Kangaroos on Sunday.

Collingwood vs. Geelong

Finally, the tightest game of the weekend in terms of Superbru tips is the last game of the round between Collingwood and Geelong at the MCG. This one really could go either way but there is a very slight majority of 54% backing the Cats. Either side has won four and lost three so far this season.
