Round 12 was a very strong one for the majority of AFL tippers at Superbru as the average player managed over 7 correct outcomes out of 9. Hawthornโs win over Port Adelaide caught around 50% of brus out but the massive result of the weekend was GWSโ 16-point win over Adelaide! Just 4% of players had tipped the Giants.
As usual, we will again be looking ahead to the upcoming weekend in these insights and in Round 12 we have just seven fixtures rather than nine. Have a read of what the Superbru crowd expect to see (based on tips submitted so far) before making your own in the Zero Hanger Superbru pool.
Port Adelaide vs. Richmond
Round 12 begins with high-flying Richmond visiting Port Adelaide who were on the wrong end of that tough to call result against Hawthorn last week. That defeat may have been a narrow one, but tips made so far for this match suggest this one wonโt be. 85% are backing Richmond and the average tip suggests theyโll win by 15.
Geelong Cats vs. North Melbourne
Two teams that have each won seven of their 11 games this season, it could be a tight affair between Geelong and North Melbourne if season form is anything to go by. Unsurprisingly, the majority of the Superbru crowd are tipping Geelong given their home advantage. 79% have picked the Cats.
GWS Giants vs. Gold Coast Suns
GWS ruined a lot of Superbru playersโ weekends last time out and they could do again this weekend only this time everyone wants them to win! Thereโs a huge 97% of players backing them to beat Gold Coast who have lost their last five in a row.
St. Kilda vs. Sydney Swans
Having now lost seven in a row with just one victory all season, itโs become an unwritten Superbru rule that you donโt tip St. Kilda. Only 2% of players have broken that rule in this round. A Swans win looks to be a banker.
Brisbane Lions vs. Essendon
Like St. Kilda, the Lions have also only won one game this season, however there is a larger percentage of 26% tipping them to win this weekend as they face an Essendon side who have also struggled for much of the season. This one looks to be one of the tighter affairs of the round with the expected margin Essendon will win by standing at less than 10.
Fremantle vs. Adelaide Crows
The Crows let a lot of people down with that GWS defeat in Round 11... will they do so again this week? 84% have tipped them to beat Fremantle.
Melbourne vs. Collingwood
Finally, in what should be a cracking contest, Melbourne have the majority of tipsters behind them as they face Collingwood on Monday at the MCG. Melbourne have now won their last six games in a row, and though there is still reason to be cautious given the healthy victories Collingwood have enjoyed in each of their last three. The average tip made at Superbru suggests Melbourne by 13 is the prediction to go for here.
