West Coast defeated Richmond in an interesting Round 9 of AFL that saw the average Superbru tipper correctly predict 6.3 correct outcomes out of 9. There were two stand-out shock results according to Superbru as the Lions beat Hawthorn (called by just 5% of players) while Essendon defeated Geelong (3%).

Here we’ll be looking at the tips the crowd have made so far for Round 10 at Superbru to see whether or not Geelong are likely to bounce back as well as identifying the likely winner for all the other fixtures coming up this weekend.

Collingwood vs. Western Bulldogs

Expecting Collingwood to build on their win over St. Kilda last week, 83% of the Superbru crowd are tipping them to beat the Bulldogs at the Etihad Stadium. The average taken from all tips made so far suggest the winning margin will be 12 points.

Richmond vs. St. Kilda

They were defeated by West Coast last week and lost ground at the top of the ladder as a result but there are 99% of players tipping Richmond to beat St. Kilda this weekend! That’s what you call a banker.

Brisbane Lions vs. Sydney Swans

Another game with a very clear favourite, despite the Lions causing an upset last week there are just 5% tipping Brisbane to win this one. The average tip suggests the Swans win this by 23 points.

Geelong Cats vs. Carlton

Carlton were absolutely battered by Melbourne last week – losing by 109 points (nobody tipped that exact margin!). As I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, Geelong are heavy favourites here having been backed by 98% of tipsters.

GWS vs. Essendon

A match-up that seems even in comparison to the previous three, there are 80% of the crowd tipping the GWS Giants to beat Essendon in Sydney this Saturday. GWS have lost their last three in a row though meaning there isn’t much momentum behind this favourite.

Hawthorn vs. West Coast

After Hawthorn’s result last week and the West Coast win over Richmond, you’d perhaps expect the percentage of people tipping the away side here to be higher than the 82% that are. The crowd average suggests the result will be West Coast Eagles by 15 points.

Melbourne vs. Adelaide

Fresh off four wins on the trot with that monster victory over Carlton the most recent, there is a slight majority of 56% tipping Melbourne to win what should be a close affair against the Adelaide Crows.

Fremantle vs. North Melbourne Kangaroos

Finally, there’s set to be a very even game in Perth on Sunday if the tips made at Superbru are anything to go by. Fremantle face the Kangaroos and there is a very even split of 52/48% in favour of North Melbourne. The average tip has North Melbourne winning by just 2 points!
