Tim Watson and Nick Riewoldt have tallied their counts and weighed in on Brownlow contenders this morning on SEN Breakfast.

In what has been an odd season for many teams, there has been no clear-cut favourite for the prestigious medal as there has been in recent years.

Riewoldt has Patrick Dangerfield as the favourite.

"I think Danger will win it," he said.

Dangerfield was the best of a prime bunch in the midfield for Geelong this year, averaging over 27 disposals a game alongside two-time Brownlow winner Gary Ablett Jr and his captain Joel Selwood.

Riewoldt says Brisbane’s Lachie Neale is also in with a shout for his efforts in the sunshine state.

“Lachie Neale is the other one. He’s a vote poller and he’s had a prolific year.”

Watson is “sitting with Bontempelli” for his but thinks that it will go down to the wire.

In fact, the Breakfast host says he believes the Bont and Dangerfield could tie for votes, something that hasn’t happened since Sam Mitchell and Trent Cotchin did so in 2012.

Brownlow festivities kick off at 8:20pm tonight.
