Richmond draftees Sam Lalor, Luke Trainor and Harry Armstrong didn't take long to make their presence felt, with the club confirming three debutants for Thursday's clash against Carlton.

All three were part of the Tigers' eight picks in the 2024 draft, and are now the face of the rebuilding club.

Lalor, who was taken with Pick 1, was touch and go for a Round 1 debut after fracturing his jaw and entering concussion protocols following an incident in a match simulation against West Coast.

The bullocking on-baller has impressed since walking into the Punt Road club, which has earned him a debut on the big stage at the MCG.

Joining him is key position players Armstrong and Trainor.

Armstrong slipped to Pick 23 in last year's crop of youngsters as a mobile and athletic forward.

The left-footer was seen in the club's pre-season contest against Collingwood, playing 49 per cent game but looking lively in the front half, kicking two behinds and laying four tackles.

On the other end of the ground, Trainor will line-up alongside a raft of premiership Tigers.

The Brighton Grammar product was selected with Pick 21 and is the grandson of Geelong and North Melbourne goal-kicking great Doug Wade.

Trainor has made a name for himself by plying his trade across all lines of the ground, but showcased his defensive prowess against the Pies, gathering 12 disposals, four marks and four intercept possessions in 40 per cent playing time.

Coach Adem Yze revealed the news on Monday to the club.

The trio will likely be joined by key forward Tom Lynch, who is hoping to put an injury-plagued pair of seasons behind him.

Lynch has been sighted eight times in the past 24 months and will be hoping he can return to his best.

On the other side of the coin, Carlton confirmed two debutants of their own.

Former GWS defender Nick Haynes will line up for his new club alongside Jacob Weitering while father-son gun Lucas Camporeale has also been named for his first AFL match.
