Tigers coach Adem Yze has provided an injury update post-game after the Tigers won an exciting attacking game against the Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

Richmond defender Nathan Broad came from the field during the Tigers' clash with West Coast after dislocating his finger in the third quarter. In the free-flowing affair Broad had tallied 13 disposals and a game-high six rebound 50s in defence to the point of his injury ten minutes into the third term, and finished the game with 16 touches and seven rebounds.

It was the sole injury of note for the day, although West Coast youngster Harley Reid received a couple of medical assessments on-field after taking some physical hits throughout the contest.

Adem Yze said post-game that Broad was initially fearing it could've been a compound fracture, but fortunately it was a simple dislocation that was popped back into place and allowed the 32-year-old to continue his strong performance in the win.

"He was worried it could have been a compound fracture, but it wasn't, so he just dislocated his finger," Yze said.

"I think if you've ever done it before, it can look horrendous. His finger was pointing the wrong way, but he went and popped it back in and as I said, his last quarter was terrific.

"Not only his last quarter but the whole game, he's such a leader for us down there, and our young boys are playing some good footy around him, which is nice."
