Richmond is set to hand one of the game's most famous names a debut against Carlton on Thursday night.

Fox Sports has reported that Tigers' draftee Daniel Rioli, the cousin of Hawks' star Cyril Rioli, will make his debut, while former Giant Jacob Townsend will also play his first game for the yellow and black.

Meanwhile, Carlton will reportedly name five new faces in its squad.

No.1 draft pick Jacob Weitering and No.12 draft pick Charlie Curnow will make their AFL debuts, while former Adelaide players Sam Kerridge and Matt Wright and ex-Giant  Jed Lamb will also play their games for the club.
