Collingwood, Port Adelaide and Melbourne are the three clubs with three potential Mid-Season Draft selections available to them, come Tuesday night's intake.
The AFL on Monday handed down the finalised draft order for the event, with the lowly Bombers selecting from the crop of nominated players, first. The Bombers are expected to recruit Tasmania's Jaxon Artemis with that coveted first selection, while Richmond have their eyes on Geelong VFL star, Kye Annand, as per Zero Hanger's resident draft guru, Jonty Ralphsmith.
It is understood that the Magpies spent Monday assessing the small forwards available in the pool, following the devastating ACL rupture incurred by fan favourite, Jamie Elliott, on Saturday.
The Magpies were already in search of a rebounding defender and ruck depth following the harrowing injuries sustained by rising commodities Oscar Steene and Reef McInnes in the season's early sledding, and will weigh up selecting a third player between now and Tuesday night's event.
Matt Carroll's ACL injury has forced Carlton's hand too. The Blues were tipped to pass on making a selection, but with Carroll's recent, lengthy setback, it is understood the Blues are after a front-half threat.
