Ross McQuillan

Ross McQuillan, considered the brightest Irish prospect at last year's AFL Europe Combine, is expected to join Essendon or Richmond, according to AFL.com.au.

The 20-year-old from County Armagh was last year recognised as one of the best young Gaelic football players in Ireland alongside Geelong's Stefan Okunbor.

However, after going through trials at AFL clubs earlier this year, it is believed he will follow Okunbor to the AFL.

McQuillan plays as a Gaelic football forward, with his physical traits and developing skill level making him an enticing prospect for AFL clubs.

It is believed McQuillan will choose between the Tigers and Bombers in the near future.
