GWS forward Toby Greene suffered an injury scare at training on Friday morning, but should be fit to play against Geelong on Saturday night.

It was reported by several media outlets that Greene had suffered a bad hamstring injury during the session and was likely to miss the Cats game, although GWS' official Twitter account rubbished the news following the session.

Seven News sports reporter Ryan Daniels reported the news earlier on Friday morning, and suggested the star forward could be out for weeks following the incident.

Greene hasn't missed a game through injury so far this season, with his only two weeks off coming from a two-week suspension for striking Caleb Daniel in round six.
