Western Bulldogs premiership player Jason Johannisen was reportedly been involved in a minor scuffle at Crown on the weekend.

Channel 7 and Triple M journalist Tom Browne spoke to MMM's Hot Breakfast on Wednesday morning regarding the incident, which came about after a man apparently was caught filming Johannisen's partner.

The Dogs defender intervened, before being asked to leave the premises shortly after.

"I’ve done some digging on this overnight, speaking to his manager and the club," Browne began.

"I understand there was an altercation involving [Jason] Johannisen. (It was) not necessarily his fault, he was there with his partner in the early hours of the morning.

"Someone was filming his partner, which obviously Johannisen wasn’t happy with, probably quite legitimately. He remonstrated with this particular person, there was a small scuffle and the Crown staff, in their wisdom to defuse the situation, quietly asked Johannisen to leave the premises, obviously with his partner.

"There’s not really a suggestion he did anything wrong."

Co-host of the breakfast show Luke Darcy defended Johannisen's actions, suggesting he did the right thing by standing up for his partner.
