Carlton is reportedly interested in acquiring the services of four GWS players during this year's trade period.

AFL.com.au's Nick Bowen believes that the Blues will once again be very active this trade period, with GWS again set to be their main target for recruits.

Carlton is said to be keen to lure Adam Tomlinson, Caleb Marchbank, James Stewart and Will Hoskin-Elliott to Princess Park at the end of the year.

The Blues could be willing to part ways with their first round pick in order to get secure a trade for some or possibly all of these players.

Carlton signed Jeb Lamb, Lachie Plowman, Laim Sumner and Andrew Phillips from the Giants last year.
