Once seen as Tom Lynch's preferred destination, Hawthorn have reportedly fallen behind in the race for the Gold Coast spearhead.

Herald Sun reporter Sam Edmund broke the news on SEN on Friday morning, and believes Collingwood and Richmond remain in the hunt, while he could be long odds to move to Hawthorn.

“Tom Lynch and Collingwood is the pairing that we keep hearing over and over again,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

“Hawthorn, apparently, he is not interested in Hawthorn.”

Edmund also updated listeners on the future of Swans duo Jake Lloyd and Nic Newman, suggesting the pair are both unhappy in Sydney.

“Jake Lloyd, unhappy up at the Swans with a contract offer that has been made his way,” Edmund said.

“He wants some more and a new offer is not great either.”

Lloyd has played all 13 games for the Swans this season and is averaging a career-high 27.1 disposals and 6.6 marks, while Newman has played just three games, following 20 in 2017.
