Star Giant Stephen Coniglio as been given the all clear to play from his surgeon in Saturday's grand final, according to Seven News.

The 25-year-old West Australian has been rehabbing a PCL injury suffered in Round 17 that required surgery, making unlikely to play in GWS' finals campaign.

However, after qualifying for the big dance, Coniglio successfully underwent a 45-minute session in Sydney on Monday morning as he dreams to be an inclusion against Richmond, the side against which he injured his knee against.

Later Monday night during his acceptance speech at a GWS Brownlow function in Sydney where he was presented with the Jim Stynes Community Award, he again offered assurance he was ready to be selected for the big game if needed, adding that "the body is feeling great."

Coniglio and teammate Lachie Whitfield are both pushing for Grand Final berths, though the Giants regaining the latter would perhaps be a less surprising move having just missed the preliminary final win with appendicitis.

Toby Greene looks a certain starter following his one-game suspension for eye-gouging Lachie Neale, so Leon Cameron will have several selection headaches ahead of Thursday night's deadline.
