Eddie Betts is contracted at Adelaide through 2020, but looks set to make a shocking return to the Blues in the upcoming trade period.

The Australian reported early on Thursday night that Betts was “desperately unhappy” with the Crows and “will return” to Carlton.

Talks of Betts being unsettled at Adelaide date back to the pre-season camp in 2018.

Gold Coast have also been linked with a move for Betts during the trade period.

Betts has stated there has been an interest in his services, but no formal offer has been made.

“I can say right now, honestly, there’s been no offer made to me from Gold Coast or any other team,” Betts told FIVEaa on Thursday.

“There’s been interest, but there’s no offer that’s been made.”
