Out-of-contract Collingwood star Jordan De Goey and his current manager, father Roger, will meet with the club on Friday as both sides look to sort out terms of a new contract, reports Fox Sports.

Despite interest from rival clubs, Collingwood look set to put forward an enticing offer to retain their star forward, according to 7News.

Despite De Goey making it known in early August that he would like to re-sign with the Pies, the two parties are still yet to come to an agreement, which has prompted the attention of rival clubs, including Carlton and Essendon.

Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley said after his side's semi-final loss to Geelong that De Goey wanted to remain a Magpie but that there were financial matters to be sorted.

“Jordy loves the club,” Buckley said post-match.

“He wants to be here. Elements of people on his side would like to see him remunerated as well as he possibly could and we want him to be rewarded appropriately as well. As we do with the other 44 players on the list for what they bring to the table.”

Earlier today Collingwood announced new two-year deals for Darcy Moore, Josh Daicos and Mark Keane.
