Carlton captain Patrick Cripps has claimed his second Brownlow Medal with a record 45 votes for the 2024 season.
Cripps polled in 17 of his 23 games for the home and away season for an average of 1.96 votes per game, with an eight-game stretch between Rounds 11-19 seeing him poll 20 votes.
His 45 votes shatter the previous record under the 3-2-1 system held by Dustin Martin and Ollie Wines by nine, with a maximum of 69 votes on offer in 2024.
Collingwood ace Nick Daicos also surpassed the previous best of 36 by two after polling in 18 games for the season, including 15 of his last 16 games.
Port Adelaide's Zak Butters polled 29 votes to round out the podium, with ineligible Swan Isaac Heeney and Fremantle's Caleb Serong narrowly trailing on 28. A further eight players polled at least 22 votes.
Heeney had 21 votes to his name after the first 10 rounds - an in-season record.
The Swans polled the most team votes with 103 for the year, with the Western Bulldogs the next highest with 91.
