Who does everyone think is the best player in the AFL right now?

Thanks to Zero Hanger's AFL Player Ratings, we have an answer.

The fan-voted AFL Player Rater pits two players against each other based on their position, using a proven Elo rating algorithm - the same system used in global sports rankings - to produce the live and real-time results.

Honourable mention must go to Melbourne captain Max Gawn, who despite not currently sitting inside the top 10, has maintained a league-leading win rate of 96.9 percent.

10Zak Butters

The Power superstar sneaks into the top 10, winning more than 80 percent of match-ups for total points of 2138.

Butters' consistency has him rank higher than most in the competition, but you'd have to think he could be in contention for the Brownlow given the lack of depth at Port Adelaide.

He's also improved his standing since April.

April rating: 11th
