during the round 10 AFL match between the Richmond Tigers and the St Kilda Saints at Melbourne Cricket Ground on May 26, 2018 in Melbourne, Australia.

Herald Sun reporter Sam Edmund revealed on Wednesday morning that Richmond Premiership duo Bachar Houli and Shaun Grigg could make way at the club to free up salary cap space for Tom Lynch.

“It’s all about to shake down at Richmond,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

“The future of premiership veterans, Shaun Grigg and Bachar Houli, remains uncertain.

“Blair Hartley and his list management team are currently working through, by my calculations, 15 out of contract players.

“Not unusual, but when a lot of them are fresh off a premiership and you have got a big fish that they’re hunting in Tom Lynch, it probably works in their favour.”

While the futures of Houli and Grigg at Richmond remains uncertain, Edmund says young defender Nathan Broad is close to signing a two-year deal.

Out of favour midfield trio Connor Menadue, Corey Ellis and Anthony Miles are also no certainty to remain at Punt Road next season.

Richmond will have some work to do during this year’s free agency and trade periods to secure all 15 out of contract players, with cashed-up clubs St Kilda, Carlton and North Melbourne ready to pounce.
