Premiership Tiger Jacob Townsend is set to join the Gold Coast Suns as a delisted free agent, according to The Age.

It marks the 27-year old's fourth AFL club, having played 60 games for GWS, Richmond and Essendon over eight seasons.

He played for the Bombers in 2020, booting nine goals from 12 matches before getting delisted earlier this month.

Townsend's signature joins Rory Atkins and Oleg Markov as the Suns' additions for 2021.
