20-year-old Eagle Hamish Davis will take no further part in his side's clash with the North Melbourne Kangaroos after succumbing to a concussion in the first quarter of the contest.
Davis fell victim to a heavy tackle from Roo Paul Curtis, who slung the young Eagle to the ground. The contact Davis' head made with the ground concussed the utility, who was slow to get to his feet, and unsure of his footing when he did.
Davis was helped from the ground in the arms of trainers, appearing in visible distress.

Curtis' act is sure to draw the ire of the Match Review Officer, with the tackler's duty of care front of mind in recent proceedings.
Minutes after Davis' removal from the contest, inspirational midfielder Liam Baker left the field in some discomfort, too, after scoring his side's only major for the game to that point. He appeared to land awkwardly in a contest with Curtis, and is being assessed for a potential left leg injury.
Baker returned minutes later, with his ankle strapped.
Both sides will be desperate for a victory, following last-time-out losses.
The Kangaroos lead by eight points at the time of writing, with three minutes to play in the first term.
