Port Adelaide will continue to give off-contract utility Miles Bergman "the time he needs" as he weighs up his future in South Australia.

The Sandringham Dragons product has received strong reported interest from Victorian clubs, with St Kilda, the Western Bulldogs and Geelong among those tied to the 23-year-old.

Bergman's value has only risen this year as he continues to impress through midfield after establishing himself as a bona fide intercept and rebounding backman across his five years with the Power.

"The great part about that is he's shown he can go in the midfield and perform," incoming senior coach Josh Carr said of Bergman.

"He's done that in previous years but wasn't quite ready. He's grabbed that with both hands this year.

"The flexibility we've got now with throwing him in there with Connor (Rozee) as well just adds to our group."

The strong form for Bergman comes in another contract year for the Victorian, who turned down external interest and recommitted to the Power in June 2023.

Another decision in the second half of the season now looms for Bergman, who the Power hope will again show his commitment to the club's cause for 2026 and beyond.

"It's football, with what he's going through at the moment," Carr said.

"We're obviously supportive of him, and he's replied. We want him at our football club. We've given him the time he needs.

"He showed last time he took his time with his decision. That's OK, he's doing his due diligence and is comfortable with whatever decision he makes.

"It's always nice if he signs ASAP, but there's no rush if the result is he stays with us."

While Bergman has been linked to a potential Moorabbin move, St Kilda's own Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has been closely linked with the Power as he weighs up his own contract call.

While Port Adelaide expresses their interest, Carr claims he hasn't been involved in any matter relating to the Glenelg product.

"I'm not having anything to do with 'Nas'," Carr said.

"There's a lot that's been spoken about in the media with him. There's 17 other clubs that would love him in their team. He's a fantastic player to watch.

"I'm sure that'll work itself out in good time."
