Greater Western Sydney have signed former Eagles midfielder Jarrod Brander, with the move being the first to begin the delisted free agency period.

Brander's move to the Harbour City will see the Giants add versatility and height to their squad for next year, with the 22-year-old able to play key positions and through the midfield.

Brander played 22 games for the Eagles across four seasons with the club, featuring in the blue and gold on 11 occasions in 2021.

“We’re really excited to welcome Jarrod back to the GIANTS,” GWS football boss Jason McCartney said on the announcement.

“We obviously had a strong connection with him up until his draft year and have tracked his career closely.

“We identified a need to bring in another tall option and given we’ve lost some experience through retirements and delistings, it’s great to add a player who has already been in the system for a few years.”
