North Melbourne will not consider relocating to Tasmania, according to CEO Ben Amarfio.
The comments come after Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett refused to rule out the possibility that the Hawks could relocate to the apple isle.
Amarfio said the Kangaroos are committed to staying at Arden Street, a base they have called home for 150 years.
โOur footy club has been in North Melbourne for over 150 years. We are invested in staying at Arden Street and looking forward to being an active participant with the Victorian government and the City of Melbourne in the exciting development going on in this precinct,โ Amarfio told The Age journalist Peter Ryan.
North has played home games in Hobart since 2012, but the Tasmanian Government has refused to negotiate a new deal until the AFL provides a timeline on the establishment of a standalone Tasmanian team.
