North Melbourne expects ruck Tristan Xerri to be available for the Kangaroos' trip to Port Adelaide on Sunday.

The Kangaroos big man missed the clash with Essendon after fracturing his jaw but is expected to come straight back into the lineup.

“Tristan has had a smooth recovery from his procedure where he got good running, football, and strength loads in at the backend of last week,” North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said.

"Yesterday (Monday) he received clearance to play after surgical review and will transition back in with the main program this week to be available to play."
Adelaide star Izak Rankine is likely to be available for the Crows' clash against West Coast.
He came from the field last weekend with ankle and knee concerns but played out the game, with the Crows providing an update on Tuesday.

“It's a big sigh of relief for Izak,” Crows General Manager High Performance Ian McKeown said.

“We assessed both his ankle and knee on the night and, pleasingly, he was in a position to return.

“We'll monitor him throughout the week, however we're confident he'll be available for Friday night.”

At Brisbane, Keidean Coleman has overcome a hamstring concern and is available for selection, though will likely return via the VFL.

Harrison Petty is a test to return at Melbourne.
