Brent "Boomer" Harvey insists nothing in his life will change when Collingwood champion Scott Pendlebury eclipses his longstanding all-time games record in a fortnight.
Pendlebury completed game number 432 on Saturday night, drawing level with the Kangaroos' favourite son, and has now set his sights on a home game against the West Coast Eagles on May 23rd for game 433; a game that will see the Sale product stand alone atop the mountain.
Not that "Boomer" is too upset by such a development.
Speaking to ABC Radio ahead of Collingwood's clash with Geelong, Harvey was levelheaded when discussing the imminent end of his reign as the most capped played in V/AFL history.
"I‘m okay with it," Harvey said.

"Nothing changes in my life. It's good to have that sort of recognition, but if I'm going to live my life because I've played the most games of AFL football and I want that recognition, it's a pretty vain sort of life.
"We can run with ‘I'm the North Melbourne games record holder', and nothing changes too much there, so I'm pretty happy.
"If you're going to pick someone in the AFL, you're probably picking Scott to do it (break the record). The little things you hear that he does, and it's (sic) been so consistent, and he's been such a great player for so long."
Harvey did admit to some ribbing from former teammates, as commentators look back at his messy exit from the top level, with the school of thought that he had more left in his considerable tank, persisting.
The soon-to-be 48-year-old also admitted that, like many others, he wished Pendlebury was backing up to play Sydney this weekend, that the fanfare surrounding the milestone would subside sooner.
Harvey played game 427 in Round 19 of the 2016 season, moving past Hawthorn great Michael Tuck for outright first. The Kangaroos' elimination final loss to Adelaide that same year was Harvey's 432nd and final match, meaning his record has stood for almost a decade.
