The AFL Footy Show's makeover this season has been revealed, with radio presenter and comedian Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann set to host the Channel Nine program, according to a report by the Herald Sun.

Lehman is expected to be joined by previous Footy Show mainstay Brendan Fevola, wheelchair tennis star Dylan Alcott, an unknown female personality and a revolving fifth member.

The show will focus on the lighter side of football and not be driven by team lists and tips, combining AFL with comedy and entertainment.

The new-look Footy Show is expected to launch on Wednesday March 20, meaning it will go head-to-head with Seven's Front Bar.

Former long-time hosts Eddie McGuire and Sam Newman will have no involvement in the program, but are instead set to appear in mini Footy Show specials throughout the season.

Additionally, Newman is tipped to make appearances on the Sunday Footy Show.

Former Spicks and Specks producer Anthony Watt will be running the revamp, which remains under McGuire's production company JAM TV.

It is understood that Nine will announce the changes soon.
