Collingwood's Brayden Maynard and Gold Coast's Touk Miller have both been fined $5000 for making contact with an umpire during Saturday night's match.

Suns forward Ben Long has been handed a two-match suspension for his off the ball hit on Maynard that sparked an all-in brawl in Gold Coast.

Long hit an unaware Maynard after a goal to Gold Coast's Bailey Humphrey late in the second quarter. The Magpie was left wheezing on the ground while his teammates remonstrated in a melee.

Once the halftime siren had sounded, Maynard charged at Long and in doing so pushed an umpire out of the way.

Miller was side by side with Maynard at this stage and also made contact with the umpire.

The all-in melee then continued for a couple of minutes before the teams finally departed for the sheds while still verbally attacking their opposition.

Neither Miller or Maynard have an option to reduce their fines with an early plea but can challenge them at the tribunal.

Long's suspension for his hit on Maynard, which left the latter with bruised ribs, was deemed to be rough conduct and graded as intentional conduct, high impact and body contact.
