Geelong defender Tom Stewart has been referred directly to the tribunal for an incident with Richmond's Dion Prestia on Saturday afternoon.

Prestia was left concussed after the first term clash, where Stewart's elbow made contact with the Tiger's head as he appeared to run past the ball. Stewart was immediately reported for the incident, while Prestia took no further part in the game and will miss Round 16 through concussion protocols.

The incident was graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact. The severe impact is what sees the incident sent to the tribunal.

It also means that the punishment if Stewart is found guilty sits at a minimum of four weeks.

The MRO laid two other charges from Saturday's action with Jeremy Cameron and Marlion Pickett fined for their wrestle during the second quarter. Both have been fined $1000.

Nat Fyfe was cleared of touching an umpire along with St Kilda midfielder Zak Jones who wasn't sanctioned for his bump on Luke Parker.
