Melbourne rookie Josh Wagner has been elevated to the senior list and will make his debut this weekend against North Melbourne.
The 21-year-old was informed of his selection in the side on Thursday afternoon.
“I was just in the gym and Misso (Dave Misson) came down and got me and said ‘Roosy wants to see you’ and I found out then, when Roosy told me,” Wagner told Melbourne TV.
“It was good and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face the whole time. I wasn’t really expecting it this week, but I played a few NAB games and last weekend, and had a crack and it paid off.
“I’ve never been there before (to Tasmania). It’s good again – it’s another adventure.”
Melbourne take on the Ross at Blundstone Arena and it is the Demons' first match in Tasmania since 1952.
