AFL champion Matthew Lloyd has revealed his top seven ruckmen in the competition this season.

Lloyd appeared on SportsDay radio and listed off his favourite ruckmen taking the AFL by storm this season, saying that he doesn't think ruckmen have ever been in better form than they are right now, which is some high praise.

Lloyd has left out Matthew Kruezer, Ben McEvoy and Sam Jacobs from his top seven list.

Lloyd's top seven list is as follows. Do you agree with Lloydy?

"People might scoff at this one. I've looked at the goals he kicks and his impact around the ground, so he's number seven."

6. Paddy Ryder [PORT]

"Only averaging eight disposals a game which concerns me, but still does a lot of damage around the ground."

5. Aaron Sandilands [FRE]

"Still, he can be a weapon with the right players around him."

4. Stefan Martin [BRIS]

"Averaging 20 disposals a game, 35 hit-outs, but he hasn't kicked a goal yet, which is why he's at four."

3. Brodie Grundy [COLL]

"Averaging 21 disposals a game, four goals, has 37 hit outs [per game]."

2. Nic Naitanui [WC]

"10 disposals he averages a game, he's kicked two goals [this season], obviously does so much."

1. Max Gawn [MEL]

"He gets 16 disposals [per game], he's kicked seven goals which is more than any other ruckman, 47 hit-outs [per game], the most [of any one in the AFL]."
