Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd has revealed his top five after-the-siren goals.

Speaking on AFL.com.au, Lloyd explained that every kid growing up dreams of kicking a big goal after the final siren has sounded.

"Unfortunately for me, I had a shot against the Western Bulldogs on a big Friday night and I fluffed it," he said.

"These five shots were ones I'll never forget where blokes absolutely nailed it after the siren."

Lloyd counted down from 5-1…

5. Tom Hawkins vs. Hawks (Round 19, 2012)

Lloyd said: "What I loved about that goal from Tom Hawkins was the degree of difficulty is as hard as any after the siren shot I've seen. He was so far out, he would've had heavy legs. He'd been dominant and is a confidence player Tom Hawkins. Pretty much the sound of the ball coming off his boot you could hear from the commentary box where I was, it never looked like missing."
