The AFL's Match Review Officer has sent Adelaide Crows forward Shane McAdam straight to the Tribunal for his bump on GWS utility Jacob Wehr on Sunday.

The incident in question took place during the third quarter of the Round 1 match between the Crows and Giants, with McAdam collecting Wehr with a front-on bump near the boundary line.

The collision left Wehr in the arms of medical staff and requiring a head injury assessment (HIA), which he passed after 15 minutes.

The ugly bump has gained the scrutiny of the MRO despite Wehr being able to play out the match, with McAdam receiving a Rough Conduct charge.

The MRO graded McAdam's bump as Careless Conduct, Severe Impact and High Contact, resulting in a minimum three-game ban.

The minimum suspension would see the Crows forward miss his side's upcoming matches against Richmond, Port Adelaide and Fremantle.

McAdam will face the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Essendon's Jayden Laverde can accept a $2,000 fine with an early plea after following a tripping charge from Sunday's game against Hawthorn.
