Collingwood midfielder Jack Crisp could be set for a stint on the sidelines after his dumping tackle on North Melbourne's Tom Blamires caught the ire of the umpires.
Crisp, who is currently on an AFL record 279 consecutive game streak, brought the Roo to ground without pinning Blamires' arms but still slamming him into the deck.
Blamires failed to finish out the game with concussion, which won't help Crisp's case with match review officer Michael Christian.
Collingwood coach Craig McRae said in the post-game press conference Crisp would be "shattered" to miss his first match since 2014 if he is found guilty by the MRO.
“I haven't seen (the incident),” McRae said.
“If he's tackled him and he's been concussed, obviously there's something to answer for, so I'll have to have a look at that, but that'd be disappointing.
“I thought Jack had a great game. Critical moments. You know he kicked that goal, his shrugging tackles, setting up others.
“So he'll be a big loss and he hasn't missed a game for so long, he'll be shattered."
North Melbourne forward Paul Curtis was recently suspended for for three weeks for a controversial dangerous tackle.
Kangaroos midfielder Jy Simpkin commented on the incident at the time via social media, criticising the league and its officiating which landed both the player and club in hot water.
When asked for his thoughts on Crisp's tackle, North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson made a point of steering clear of controversy.
"You guys can make whatever comment you like on it. Even if I did see it I wouldn't comment on it," Clarkson said.
"I don't know what happened there.
"We just get the information that they are out of the game. He will miss next week which is unfortunate. He has been pretty good for us Tommy and disappointed he is going to miss a week.
"I haven't even seen it. I don't know what's happened."
