Magpies debutant Will Kelly is set to remain on the sidelines for the remainder of the 2020 season after dislocating his elbow in Friday night's 32-point win over Hawthorn, reports Fox Sports' Tom Morris.

Kelly, son of Craig, looked lively in his first game for the club after being drafted 'Pies in 2018 as a father-son selection, booting a goal with his first kick of the game.

While it was a night to celebrate for Kelly and Collingwood, the youngster awkwardly landed on his arm late into the match and was in a sling post game.

Kelly has reportedly returned to Melbourne to have his elbow further assessed and will have surgery over the next week.
