Brisbane Lions father-son draftee Will Ashcroft will pull on the No.8 jumper for his new club while other headline recruits Josh Dunkley and Jack Gunston have also been handed their guernseys.

Ashcroft joined the Lions as the second overall pick in Monday's National Draft, following in the footsteps of his father Marcus, who played 318 games with for Brisbane, winning three premierships.

While the champion Lion wore No.10 for 308 games, his oldest son Will won't be able to have the same locker number given Brisbane veteran Daniel Rich still occupies that guernsey.

Ashcroft will be just two lockers down from Rich, while star recruit Josh Dunkley will be another three spots down as he pulls on the same number he wore with the Bulldogs in No.5.

That number was made vacant after Mitch Robinson's departure this off-season.

Veteran signing Jack Gunston will continue to wear the same number he made famous with Hawthorn, with the No.19 jumper made vacant as young tall Henry Smith switches to the No.25 guernsey.

Incoming SSP recruit Conor McKenna will wear No.26 for the Lions, while Blake Coleman has swapped the No.34 jumper for the No.13.

34 has been claimed by rookie pickup Shadeau Brain, while other father-son pair Jaspa Fletcher and Darryl McDowell-White will wear 28 and 50 respectively.
