Lion Mitch Robinson has been suspended for one game following a high hit on Port Adelaide’s Xavier Duursma, while Bomber Sam Draper has been fined $2000 for Striking.

Robinson came under the scrutiny of the Match Review Officer on Sunday, with the incident in question being deemed Careless Conduct, Medium Impact, High Contact.

Robinson, who will challenge the forceful Front-on Contact charge, will miss the Lions' Round 2 clash with Essendon should the club's appeal fail.

Meanwhile, Draper’s swinging arm on Geelong tall Esava Ratugolea has resulted in the Bombers ruck being sanctioned by the AFL.

The Striking charge was graded as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact, Body Contact, seeing Draper’s fine lowered from $3000 as a first offence.

Essendon will host Brisbane at Marvel Stadium next Saturday afternoon, which will see Robinson ruled out of the affair while Draper is available for selection as the Bombers eye their first win of the season.

Earlier in the week, Saint Dougal Howard was handed a $2000 fine for Engaging in Rough Conduct on Magpie Mason Cox in Friday night’s game.

The St Kilda defender can accept the sanction with an early guilty plea, with the MRO deeming Howard’s actions as Intentional Conduct, Low Impact and Body Contact.
