Geelong have made a late change ahead of their clash with Richmond at the MCG on Friday night.

Following reports throughout the day suggesting ruckman Rhys Stanley could be a late out, the Cats have indeed withdrawn their big man, meaning debutant Ryan Abbott will shoulder the ruck load in his first AFL game.

Stanley has been replaced in the side by Jackson Thurlow.

Richmond will enter the clash as named.
