Richmond great and SEN Radio host Kevin Bartlett has named his top eight for 2016, with some shock exclusions.
"A lot has been said about Geelong on the back of Patrick Dangerfield making finals. And Collingwood has had its tyres pumped by the Magpies propaganda machine. And Port Adelaide are making noises that they’re ready to leap into finals," Bartlett said.
"Those three sides don’t make my top eight. I’m not falling for all that bluster and hype. And Adelaide drops out from last years finals.
"So pens poised, jot this down, for here’s my top eight at the end of the home and away games reading from the top.
"Richmond, Hawthorn, West Coast, Fremantle, Western Bulldogs, GWS Giants, Sydney, North Melbourne.
"Outside the top eight, Adelaide, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Collingwood, Gold Coast, Melbourne, St Kilda, Brisbane, Carlton, Essendon.
"There you go, I’ve nailed it."
