North Melbourne will sign former Bulldog Tom Campbell, according to a report by The Herald Sun.

The 27-year old ruckman was free to join Arden Street as part of the new pre-season supplemental selection period from December 1 and a deal is expected to become official on Monday.

Campbell comes in to replace Braydon Preuss as Todd Goldstein's backup ruckman after Preuss was traded to Melbourne during the off-season for midfielder Dom Tyson.

Campbell made his debut for the Bulldogs in 2012 and played 42 games for the club.

He joined Mitch Honeychurch, Kieran Collins and Nathan Mullenger-McHugh as the Bulldogs' delistings this off-season.
