Former Port Adelaide premiership player Kane Cornes believes Fremantle were the biggest winners from the national draft and has tipped them to climb the ladder in the next few years.
The Dockers selected four Western Australian youngsters - Heath Chapman (pick 14), Nathan OโDriscoll (27), Brandon Walker (50) and Joel Western (54) in the draft to add alongside their already talented young list.
The Dockers had the youngest list in the competition in 2020 with an average age of 23.4 but were able to defy expectations to finish 12th on the ladder with seven wins.
Cornes believes the Dockers now have a list that will help them climb the ladder in the next few years.
โIf I was on the stock market and buying shares in a club, Iโd buy shares in Fremantle,โ Cornes said on SEN and reported by Catherine Healey in The Western Australian.
โI love the list that theyโre building.
โItโs not going to be next year, but in the next couple of years.โ
Fremantle has not played in the finals since 2015 and has finished no higher than 12th in the last five years.
