Melbourne's Tom Bugg looks set for a long stint on the sidelines after being placed on report for striking Sydney youngster, Callum Mills.

Bugg floored Mills well off the ball with a left hook to the jaw early in the first quarter.

Mills did not look to be concussed and was helped off the ground by trainers.

However, he went to the bench and spent the majority of the opening quarter in the rooms being assessed.

He returned from the rooms with around five minutes remaining in the first term and sat on the bench with his tracksuit on, with his night appearing to be over, which will not bode well for Bugg when the incident is reviewed by the Match Review Panel.
