Gold Coast have add inside midfielder Sam Fletcher to their list as part of the pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP), on the final day of the window.
Fletcher went un-selected in last year's AFL Draft, but has finally been given the opportunity after training with VFL side Box Hill during the pre-season.
โItโs been my dream to play AFL at the highest level and Iโm grateful the SUNS have given me that opportunity,โ Fletcher told the Suns website.
โIโm looking forward to getting up to the Gold Coast, and doing everything I can, to give myself the best chance of playing footy.โ
Gold Coast's General Manager of Football Operations, Jon Haines, is excited to get Fletcher into the club.
โWeโre really looking to add some further depth to our midfield and weโve been monitoring Samโs progress over the past couple of months,โ Haines added.
โHe joins us with a really professional work ethic, a fantastic attitude and great talent as an inside midfielder.โ
