The 2026 AFL Mid-Season Draft will be live-streamed on Tuesday, May 26 from 6:00pm (AEST) via Zero Hanger's YouTube channel, with 12 clubs holding selections for this year's count.

A maximum of 19 selections will be made, with four of those teams carrying multiple selections into the draft, which has seen more than 400 AFL hopefuls nominate.

Where is the Mid-Season Draft held?

The AFL Mid-Season Draft is held remotely, with selections made via the AFL's selection lodgement system. 

While there is no live event, a live stream of the Mid-Season Draft will be held on Zero Hanger's YouTube channel from 6:00pm (AEST). 

Who are the top prospects? 

Tasmania defender Jaxon Artemis is seen as the leading prospect for this year's AFL Mid-Season Draft after a strong start with the Devils in the VFL.

Other prospects firmly in the mix include Xavier Bamert, Marcus Herbert, Kye Annand, Ollie Griffin, Flynn Riley, Caleb May and Alex Van Wyk.

You can watch the 2026 AFL Mid-Season Draft on Zero Hanger's YouTube channel from 6:00pm (AEST) on May 26, hosted by Craft of the Draft.

The stream will include a preview, live draft count and recap of the Mid-Season Draft, and will answer any questions viewers have in the chat.

What is the Mid-Season Draft order?

Essendon hold the first of 19 possible selections for the Mid-Season Draft.

Richmond, West Coast, Carlton and Port Adelaide round out the top five, with the Eagles and Power joined by Collingwood and Melbourne in having multiple selections.

Brisbane, Fremantle, Geelong, GWS, Gold Coast and Sydney are the six clubs without picks.
