Hawthorn have made a very late change ahead of their clash with Essendon at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Will Langford has been withdrawn after suffering back spasms during the warm-up, and has been replaced in the side by Brendan Whitecross.

“Langers has just had some back spasms while warming up, and it hasn’t settled down in time for the match,” GM-Football Graham Wright told hawthornfc.com.au

It’s the second change the Hawks have made on game day, with Ricky Henderson missing the game through an illness, with James Cousins coming into the team.
