Fremantle midfielder Harley Balic has been granted indefinite leave from the Dockers for the second time this season.

Balic was initially granted leave in May to deal with a personal issue and returned last month before playing his first game for Peel Thunder in the WAFL on July 8, but missed the Thunder's clash last weekend after sustaining a hamstring injury at training.

The 20-year-old was granted leave once again on Monday, and has since returned to Melbourne.

“It is in Harley Balic’s best interests to take a further leave of absence and we will continue to provide him with all the support and resources that he requires,” Fremantle's general manager of football operations Chris Bond told fremantlefc.com.au.

Balic was recruited to the Dockers with pick 38 in the 2015 National Draft, and made his debut against the Bulldogs in round three earlier this season, and has played a total of four career games.

The club will not comment on the matter in further detail.
